How much can I expect a lawyer to charge to write a letter on my behalf?
Filed Under Other - Business & Finance | 2 Comments
I am a small business owner and I’ve got a customer who refuses to pay for services rendered. The customer and I both signed a contract, so she was well aware of the price. She’s been delaying payment for several months, putting me under increasing financial strain.
I know lawyer’s fees probably vary by location, experience, etc.
But as a ballpark, what do you think I could expect to pay for a lawyer to write a letter to the customer on my behalf?
What kind of fees could I expect for a consultation?

How do a staffing agency avoid lawsuit from a client who accuses your agent of child molestation?
Filed Under Other - Business & Finance | 4 Comments
My friend’s family business is in trouble. They run a new and small nanny staffing agency. The clients now are accusing the nanny of molesting their child. They are suing the nanny and the agency. My friend told me that they have found nothing to doubt of the nanny’s credentials (zero criminal record, educated, etc) so they hired her. How can they escape this problem? And how can they prevent this from ever happening again? What can they do to protect their business (themselves) from lawsuit? U can also IM your answers to my id: mydorkiness at Yahoo Messenger.

How do I get involved in the class action lawsuit against Credit Solutions?
Filed Under Other - Business & Finance | 1 Comment
I just heard about Attorney General Cuomo of New York filing a lawsuit against Credit Solutions, the debt relief company. I live in NY and was a customer of Credit Solutions a few years ago. I paid them about 2K overall and they never helped me settle any debt. How do I get involved in the lawsuit?

What legal procedures/regulations are there associated with offering an escrow service?
Filed Under Other - Business & Finance | 2 Comments
I am looking to set up a secure website offering people with Technical Specialities (e.g. Networking, Programming, Website design etc.) to search jobs placed by those in need of the work being done.
The website will ideally have an optional escrow service which will allow the Techie to complete the work whilst knowing they will get paid (if it meets correct standards) and they buyer can place funds into an account knowing that if the work is not satisfactory there is no bill to pay.
I was just wandering what kind of legal requirements, regulations and procedures there were associated with this type of service…
Any help or advice would be brilliant…
Thanks!
Im in the UK by the way….i’m guessing the laws are different depending on the country you trade/live in.
