My dad was summoned to be a witness because his former employer is suing another company. He didn’t like working there and left. He got another job that he actually liked but soon after he was summoned. He didn’t come to the door to accept the papers. After a while they stopped coming and he heard the court case was over. Recently they have started coming back even though he thinks the court case is over. My question is that is there a crime he would be guilty of if he was “not home” whenever a person showed up to give him a summon?

My husband was working a job where is title was “seasonal”. I’m trying to research our state law and see that our state has “no seasonality provisions”? I can’t tell if that means that there are no restrictions for seasonal workers when filing unemployment or if this means he is basically not eligible for unemployment? (We live in Louisiana) Any help from the legal experts out there would be helpful!

Is it legally binding if you are offered a job at a specific pay level by verbal contract? I was offered a job at a specific pay level by verbal contract and I have told my boss I am leaving. Now they have come back to me and said that I will have to take less money if I stilll want the job. Is my verbal contract legally binding? Thanks

What is the minimum and maximum salary of a pharmaceutical lawyer?

Are you required to get both a PharmD and JD to become a pharmaceutical lawyer or is just the JD good enough?

What do pharmaceutical lawyers do?

My plan is to attend the University of Alberta. As you may already know, it is not written in stone which courses you take in your undergrad. However, I am planning in enrolling in the Bachelor of commerce program with a major in Business Economics & Law. After this 5 year program, I will be taking a 3 year program with studies in law which will pretain to being a corporate lawyer.

Am I making a good choice? Please give me your opinion.

When you want to hire a lawyer especially personal injury lawyer what information you should look for or what questions you will ask from the lawyer? What information needs to be included in the signed documentation such as fee, etc?

I have had the same lawyer for an accident case that was the other persons fault now for 4 years! I have went to a deposition and done everything with the same lawyer up until today! I just received a letter in the mail stating that another lawyer from a whole different firm has my case now! I have never heard of this lawyer and I’m just confused? Is this legal?! What is going on?
