What kind of lawyer/person should I see to check the validity of a contract?

My husband and I are about to possibly enter into contract with a business and it involves are large investment. Before signing off to anything, I want to have the contract that was given to us put into layman’s terms and to protect our interests as well. Is there a special kind of lawyer ( like there is for family, personal injury, etc.) who can read this over as an unbiased professional and better explain the terms to us? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
